Pivot Construction Group was founded by Nathan Bussey and Nathan Gray, two construction professionals who shared a vision for a better homebuilding experience along Florida’s First Coast. After years working in construction and development, they saw that homeowners often lacked a clear, guided process from early planning through construction.
Combining Nathan Bussey’s experience as a licensed Certified General Contractor with Nathan Gray’s expertise in pre-construction planning, land evaluation, and project feasibility, they created Pivot Construction Group to deliver a more transparent and collaborative approach to building.
Today, Pivot specializes in luxury custom homes, major renovations, and historic restorations across Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Northeast Florida, helping homeowners move confidently from concept to completion.

Since receiving his bachelor’s degree in Building Sciences at Auburn University, Nathan Bussey has worked in many aspects of the construction industry, including commercial, healthcare, and high end residential. He is a Florida licensed General Contractor with 15 years of experience and has built both in the north and south Florida markets. He oversees procurement, client relations, project management, subcontractor & supplier coordination and operational strategies.

Nathan specializes in land acquisition, zoning analysis, and entitlement strategy for residential development in the Jacksonville Beaches market. His background as a licensed real estate broker allows Pivot clients to evaluate property potential and construction feasibility before beginning the design-build process.
